There’s something to be said about TF2’s gameplay, as it manages to be incredibly versatile despite being fairly simple on the surface. The same website shows more players are picking up the game each month. In terms of community, Overwatch is larger than TF2 and since it is quite new, it gets more attention from the devs at Blizzard than TF2 gets from Valve. Plus, you can choose which map to play in TF2 and vote-kick hackers. So overall TF2 has much more game mode diversity and feels much less repetitive than Overwatch. So there’s a lot of players, including immature little kids/immature manchildren. Tf2: the reason the community is toxic: Because it’s free to play, and incredibly well known. Responding negatively to the lack of updates is normal and class reactions are also not unexpected. The community is not toxic, but the toxic members of our community are a bit more vocal than others. The 6v6 competitive community is really toxic imo.
They use swear words like “Damn” and “Hell” much more than the mercenaries. The characters in the game (mostly the Scout and Engineer) will sometimes say mild swear words such as “hell” and “damn” as voice responses/commands.
